The principal zoological institution of research in the state of Hawaii, which is one of the states of the United States of America, is the Honolulu Zoo. The Pana'ewa Rainforest Zoo is under the operation of the Hawaiian County, and is completely funded by private donations and by the county. There are more than sixty species of animals which are displayed in the zoo. The zoo also consists of more than forty species of different trees, flowers, and plants. Namaste, which is a male white Bengal tiger, is the favorite attraction.
