| The ethnic culture of the land is filled with many tales that make it shine out in the history of mankind in a distinct manner and thus it holds a special place in the hearts and minds of historians all over the world.
The land was inhabited some time around the 4 th century AD by immigrants that came from the Marquesas and remained their selective and isolated dwelling till about 500 AD. There were tribes in the area which fought amongst each other for power and more land and from these comes the background of formation of the Hawaiian Dynasty.
This started as a means of the ruler to capture most areas of the island and established his Kingdom there which remained un hampered for a long period of time. The most significant development in the history of Waikiki till date remains the fact that it was the land where the descendents of the Hawaiian Dynasty retreated after their domain collapsed.
